Advantages: Nicola fans will like it!
Disadvantages: Not really my cup of tea!
Cinderella's Eyes is the debut album from Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts. The CD was released in the United Kingdom in September 2011 and so is very recent. The CD is currently available from Amazon for a price of £6.99 which I think is reasonable value for money.

Well, the first thing that I noticed about this album is that it is very different. Extremely different when you compare it to Girls Aloud's music. It actually makes me wonder, now that I have heard this album, how Nicola actually fitted in with Girls Aloud. Although, then again, I guess it is nice to see her doing something different. It's great seeing her as the 'real her' and not going along with the rest of the girls in Girls Aloud.
I will now give a brief review on some of the songs.
Dance To The Beat Of My Drum - This is such a love or hate kind of song. Whilst there is something (tiny) likeable about this song, there is also something really annoying about it. If I had heard the song without knowing anything about it, I would have thought it was a children's song. Really childish and irritating.
Yo-Yo - This is a lot like Girl Aloud's sound compared to the other songs on the album.
Porcelain Heart - I actually quite like this song - it's quite sweet.
Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime - Another good song. I think this is the song that shows of Nicola's voice to the best of her ability.
This song is very unique. A lot of people in the charts are quite similar, however I couldn't compare Nicola to anyone - she's just herself! AND she's even had a go at writing 11/12 tracks on the album - so well done Nicole - even if a lot of the songs aren't really my taste. That's just my opinion though!
I am quite disappointed with this album. I think that Nicola has a fabulous voice - she has always stuck out as one of the better singers in Girls Aloud, and so it seems a waste that she has wasted her talent on 'silly songs'.
Whilst I am happy that I have had the experience of hearing this album, it is not one that I will put in my 'favourites' pile. If you like Nicola, I would recommend this album to you. I think that children will like it.
Thanks for reading!
