When Glenn Danzig decided to depart from the Misfits in the mid '80's, he went on to explore his dark side further in the band Samhain. In 1988, Samhain performed a transmutation into the dark metal band, Danzig. Featuring Glenn Danzig on vocals, John Christ on guitar, Eerie Von on bass and punk legend Chuck Biscuits on drums, Danzig was a unique sounding, evil band. Taking metal music to a whole new level, this record released on Def American records and produced by Rick Rubin, is an attestation to Danzig's greatness.
