'City of Evil' is the 2005 album release from the exceptional rock band that is Avenged Sevenfold. This album saw a significant change in direction for the band, Avenged Sevenfold had previously been very much a metalcore band this but with this album showcase a much more rock heavy sound. I would classify 'City of Evil' as a hard rock/heavy metal album, with this release the music of Avenged Sevenfold is extremely reminiscent of the sound of 'Appetite for Destruction' era Guns N' Roses and it must be said that I for one absolutely love it. This was the bands third album and my opinion is that it is in fact the best that Avenged Sevenfold has released to ... Read the complete review

City of evil is the third album by Avenged Sevenfold, it was released back in 2005 i personaly think that this album is my favourite as the sound has changed from a more heavy metal screaming band to a more hard rock sound. You can buy most of avenged sevenfold's music albums for around a £10 which i think is a real good price to pay. Here is the track list. Beast and the harot - 5:40 Burn it down - 4:58 Blinded in chains - 6:34 Bat country - 5:13 Trashed and scattered - 5:53 Seize the day - 5:32 Sidewinder - 7:01 The wicked end - 7:10 Strength of the world - 9:14 Betrayed - 6:47 M.I.A - ... Avenged Sevenfold: City of Evil M Shadows: Vocalist Synyster Gates: Lead guitar/ Vocals Johnny Christ: Bass Zacky Vengeance: Rhythm guitar/ Vocals The Rev: Drums and some vocals released 2005 by warner records After listening to this bands self titled i decided to look into them more and see what the rest of their stuff was like and i really am impressed, yes they changed their style after Waking the Fallen...not much screaming anymore but i still find them amazing. They have a few acoustics and some spanish guitar in a few tracks and i think thats good, there is nothing like a good band venturing out in the ... Read the complete review

This album, is something of a phenomenom. This album, was the one amazed me so much, that later caused me to spend over £200 do date on this band. This was, so far, the peak of their 10 year career. Avenged Sevenfold is a rock act from Huntington Beach, Orange County, California. They have evolved with a distinct and refreshingly different sounds on each album. The albums sounds so different from one another that, it continues to lose and gain new fans. City of Evil of 2005, was their effort number three. Their second release, Waking The Fallen was already impressing thousands of metalcore fans worldwide. Departure from heavy ... Read the complete review

Skateboarding Down Merlins Hill With Penny Harry - Picture Frame Seduction
King Of Rock - Run D.M.C.
A couple of nice tracks
Repetitive beats
Human Jerky - Cattle Decapitation
Better guitars than most grindcore.
It's still the same old grindcore excrement.
Sword's Song - Ambehr
Pleasantly melodic heavy metal with strong melodic death metal touches.
Later songs fail to leave as great an impression.
G-unit Radio Vol.19 - DJ Whoo Kid
Hip-Hop & Rap - Gangsta & Hardcore - 2006
El Angel Caido - Avalanch
The peak of Avalanch's melodic/prog/power style, with interesting experiments.
Some songs still seem like filler, especially by comparison to the strong closing material.
Bard's Song - Blind Guardian
It's a great old song.
We didn't need five versions.
Animetal Marathon 3: Tsuburaya Pro - Animetal
Consistent heavy metal adaptations of anime theme tunes.
No good for people who don't get it, and lacking in variety.
Electric Doom - Beherit
A far superior attempt at dark ambience.
Industrial songs get in the way, and it's all still pretty boring.
