I love any music which comes out of the mind of the Aphex Twin, due to the incredible talent and ability continually evident in it. In the case of Classics, I have to say that I have found the most objectionable Aphex Twin album to date. Tracks 1, 5, 9 and 13 (a live version of track 1) are all brilliant. All the rest, however, never fail to give me a headache. Really, though, this is proper headache stuff. For the Aphex Twin devotee, this is as essential a purchase (if not quite at the top of the wish list) as anything else by the man, but as an introduction, I'd suggest you steer well clear.
