Toys In The Attic - Aerosmith
by raydowner_uk - written on 07/03/01 (Useful, 32 readings)
Rating:
What can you say about an album of this quality?. Possibly the finest piece of work that this band has ever produced, Toys in the attic is a moving and hard-rocking piece of musical history. To mention but a few of the wonderful songs, Toys in the attic boasts titles such as Uncle Salty, Walk this way (a classic known to all), and you see me crying (a beautifully orchestrated and emotional piece of music). Released under the Columbia record label in 1975, this record still has appeal today. Rating:
Toys in the Attic is heralded by many as the best individual record released from the band Aerosmith . Although I don't personally agree, I can see where the old folks (joking) are coming from. Some of the songs are dark and ominous while others are upbeat and whimsical. Whimsical is also a good adjective to ...

Xenosapien - Cephalic Carnage
Continues to experiment.
Failed experiments and boring non-experiments.
The Ethereal Mirror - Cathedral
Progressive touches hint at more interesting directions.
Ineffective mainstream touches weaken the album as a whole.
Pray - Crematory
Interesting infusion of death metal into the gothic style.
All sounds similar to more well-known bands.
Obedience Thru Suffering - Crowbar
Downhearted - Charon
More "metal" than HIM.
Sick-bag not included.
Cult Of Luna - Cult Of Luna
Revealing post-metal debut, with a commendable range of styles.
Lacks consistency and confidence.
Blooddrunk - Children of Bodom
Great album, very good keyboards, and very memorable chants.
Not great mastering.
Big Fat Box Of Shit: Parental Advisory - Crotchduster
Heavy Metal - 2005
Anomalies - Cephalic Carnage
Approachable technical metal, with great performances and attitude.
Some songs feel restless.
Lovecraft And Witchhearts - Cradle Of Filth
Some of the band's better songs.
An arbitrary and lifeless collection.
