I have always bought the clubland cd's but i don't usually listen to them, but this cd is a brilliant dance album. I love the Clubland albums, they don't pretend to be uber trendy and cram on loads of the latest club tracks that you would most likely hear down your local club. This is the latest offering from them and once again packs a punch. Type of music: Pop trance, fast and energetic. Think Cascada and you're on the right track On this album: Well you get value for money, three discs will make it worthwhile buying. Disc one gets off to a banging start with Scooter clashing with Status Quo, sounds hideous but works in an odd way. Six years ago, when the first Clubland compilation was released, it was a groundbreaker. Suddenly, commercial pop dance music was acceptable again and Clubland's unpretentious, unmixed format sold bucket loads. Thirteen volumes later, it's still going as strong as ever, selling more copies than any other dance compilation (including the mighty Ministry of Sound series.) Whether it can continue much further, however, remains to be seen. Since the Ministry of Sound launched a dedicated Clubland competitor (the Hard2Beat label), the big commercial successes have been outside the Clubland stable and suddenly, the franchise appears to be running out of steam.
