Advantages: lots of tracks

Disadvantages: some fillers

The clubland albums are always reliable for some solid dancefloor friendly tunes. They are usually trancey tracks with vocals and are pretty frantic and fuelled with energy. This one has two discs, both packed with tracks.

Style of music:

Trancey stuff with a pop edge, usually utilising a female vocal. Think Cascada and Ultrabeat and you're on the right track.

Album highlights:

On the first disc, head for the thumping 'Overload' by Voodoo and Serano, which just builds and builds. Soaring dutch synth riffs meet a feisty female vocal and result in a superb breakdown and a hands-in-the air anthem. For something cheesier check out the 'Fly On The Wings Of Love' by XTM, which has cutish vocals from Annia. It is quite childish but the track is good fun. My highlight on this disc is 'Damaged' by Plummet, which calls to mind Delerium, a more chilled piece of trance which still manages to get you dancing.

Disc two next, check out the CJ Stone mix of 'Pretty Green Eyes' which adds some beef to the original and gives it a shaper riff. Another top pick here is Dutch's 'My Time' which is more of a house track, vocalist Crystal Waters lends some bright vocals to this and it has a funky allure about it. Finally, dip into 'How Did You Know' by Kurtis Mantronix, a luscious slice of house with an almost etheral vocal that will lift the spirits.

Overall:

There are some lesser known songs and fillers, but with over forty songs you get good value here. Dance fans need apply
