A real genuine must have for true fans!

To an Elvis fan most of his CD`s or other bits and pieces are great but this 3 CD set featuring 47 previously unreleased tracks is an Elvis fans dream.

CD 1 features songs from Elvis movies and is entitled Hollywood, CD 2 is entitled Nashville and features live performances from the Nashville shows and CD 3 is entitled Las Vegas and this one features music from Elvis`s Las Vegas shows.

The Hollywood CD is my favourite and rather than containing new songs that we have not heard it contains tracks that have become Elvis classics but just in styles we have not heard them before, rare recordings that the public have previously been unaware of. My favourite track from this is an amazing version of G.I Blues.

Nashville has a selection of tracks that Elvis recorded for his movies but were never used, in true Elvis style though he brought these tracks to his fans in live performances in Nashville and we can now here them on CD for the first time.

The Las Vegas disc has some very, very rare Elvis recordings, including the track "Rubberneckin" which although it was a well known Elvis track he only ever sang it live once in over 1000 live shows. The live recording has never been released until this album came out and for me it is worth the price of the album alone.

Obviously like any other Elvis CD this box set offers the amazing pure vocals of the king of rock and roll and that alone makes it a great listen but the fact that you are getting to hear a rare side of the great mans talents really makes this set a must have and at only £29.99 for a collectors set it is a bargain too.

      Rare Elvis

The COLLECTOR'S GOLD boxset is an Elvis-lovers dream. It is a 3CD set featuring 47 recordings, none of which had previously been released before. The 3 CDs are divided up into themes: CD1 is Hollywood, CD2 is Nashville, and CD3 is Las Vegas.

The Hollywood CD is stunning, with rare versions of G.I. BLUES and HOW CAN YOU LOST WHAT YOU NEVER HAD, amongst others. These being two of my favourite Elvis songs from the Hollywood period, so the CD really 'sells' itself to me from the start.

The second CD (Nashville) features a great many tracks from Elvis in the 60s but which were not recorded for the movies. These are great songs, including GIVE ME THE RIGHT and LIKE A BABY, which are fantastic.

The final CD (Las Vegas) includes some really rare tracks. For example, in the 1000+ live shows Elvis did between 1969 and his death in 1977, he only sang the song RUBBERNECKIN' once - and it appears on this CD!

For the rarities this CD box set is most definitely a must for any Elvis fan.
