This album is very good with some very good songs. I have reviewed each song and given it a rating out of 10: Dirt Off Your Shoulder / Lying from You: A very good mix between Jay-z and linkin park. works very well. 8/10 Big Pimpin' / Papercut: As a linkin park fan i think that this is very dominated by jay-z and is not my favourite song on the album although im sure a Jay-z fan would prefer it. 5/10 Jigga What / Faint: Another good mix of the two artists.Good song!7/10 Numb / Encore: One of the best mixes i have ever heard. Works very well. 9/10 Izzo / In the End: Again very Jay-z ... Read the complete review

When it was first released it was an album I have to admit that I wasn't keen on and couldn't really see myself buying. Despite the fact I quite liked Linkin Park the idea of a collaboration between them and Jay-Z really didn't appeal to me. I'm not a big fan of Rap music and while I do like Linkin Park I just couldn't see this working. The more I heard the version of Numb/Encore on the radio though, the more intrigued I became, until the point where I decided that at £3.95 on iTunes it wasn't as much of a gamble as it had been at £7.99 or whatever extortionate price it was going for in the shops upon its original release. The idea to create an album mixing ... Read the complete review

I am a huge fan of Linkin Park and also admire Jay Z as a rapper, and have all the albums for both these artists, so when I heard that the were making a collaboration I was ecstatic to say the least. For those of you who are not aware Jay-Z is a world famous rapper and has a huge market appeal. He has been around since the early 90's, and is in a relationship with the superstar Beyonce. So overall Jay-Z is a rap icon who commands respect wherever he goes. Linkin park are a great alternative rock band, and one of those bands that if you get into their music then you really love them. What is quite unique about them is their two main stars are a rapper and an ... Read the complete review

Collision Course was a kind of side project collaboration between rapper Jay Z and alternative rock group Linkin Park released in 2004, together the two artists mixed their previous songs and made a quite interesting gangsta hardcore sound, which although completely different in music genres and sounds is actually really good. You can buy Collision Course in most good music shops for around £5 which is a decent price, though there are only 6 songs on the album. The track listing for Collision Course is as follows: 1.) Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying From You This is a mix of the Jay Z song Dirt Off Your Shoulder and the Linkin Park song Lying ... Read the complete review

Successful experiment away from metal.
May deter metal fans.

More dynamic musical performance.
Too slow.

Effective symphonic balance between light and darkness.
Yelled vocals sound out of place, and music is dull in places.

Pioneered industrial metal.
Forgettable songs.
Serpentine - Flowing Tears
Good female vocals.
Dull instrumentation.
Drakkars In The Mist - Folkearth
Interesting and strong Viking metal performance from a range of talented musicians.
Overcomplicates things.

Skilled musicians (apparently).
Tedious and uninspired.
A World In Their Screams - Elend
Excellent grasp of symphonic composition.
Electronic elements sound awry.
Always - The Gathering
Interesting use of obscure instruments, effective gothic atmosphere.
Seems amateurish by comparison to later works in the genre.

Competent performance.
Lacking in ideas.
