Advantages: Everything about it oozes class.

Disadvantages: Dave Grohl's dodgy beard

The second album from the Foo Fighters, this builds upon the promising start set out by their self-titles debut.
The band seemed to mature in the space between Foo Fighters and TCATS, and the former's critical acclaim will have done wonders to build their confidence. Dave Grohl's vocals are more polished, and the general impression you're left with is that of an extremely good rock band.
The songs are excellent throughout - from the faster tracks (like Monkey Wrench) to the more downbeat ones (eg February Stars). If you asked me to name a bad tune, I don't think I could.
One other thing- the videos to the singles the Foos have released are all superb. Not enturely relevant to this review, but I thought I'd point it out.
Sorry.
So, to sum it up, The Foo Fighters produce yet another classy record, with a more mature rock sound and a set of excellent tracks. It's really one that any rock fan has to get - it's as simple as that.
