This is the debut album from America singer/songwriter, Norah Jones, the daughter of the legendary Ravi Shankar.

This easy listening album sold 10 million copies and was part of a wave of easy listening music including Katie Melua and Michael Buble.

This is a wonderfully relaxed album, encapsulated by the awesome 'Come away with me', this is such a chilled out song, it is perfectly set in tone and texture, Norah Jones voice mixes folk, jazz and country and her lyrics recall lazy days by the beach.

Don't know why, is another beautiful song which was the first real breakthrough for Jones on this multiple Grammy award winning album, Cold, Cold Heart is a wonderful reworking of a classic country and western song and 'The Nearness of You' is a really thoughtful love song, reworked from an old Dinah Washington standard.

This album is bright and breezy and really cheers me up and relaxes me, Jones has a velvety voice full of soul and heart and her songs match the voice perfectly, providing a soft, relaxed album which is enjoyed by millions in the UK and around the world.

Jones has had a few years out of the limelight and made films and even cameo'd on a Foo Fighters track, but she is back with an awesome new album and has retained her beautiful voice and outlook, she wrote a number of songs on this album and plays many of the instruments too which is impressive.
