INTRO H Hot Chip are a british dance/pop/indie band who in a world full of X factor reality singing stars make impressive alternative pop music. After releasing their debut album coming on strong back in 2004, it wasn t until they released the Warning their second album in 2006 that they started to get mainstream success. This was mostly down to the lead single Over and Over becoming a relative hit. By the time ready for the floor ; a catchy top 5 single was released (and rumoured to be offered to Kylie Minogue), third album made in the dark became another big seller. Hot Chip are a great UK dance band and they produce some amazingly quirky videos as well. Lead vocalist lex Taylor is a really cool guy and has a very distinctive vocal style that is very intimate in the way that it covers the music. This dance band produce some great rhythms that have an electro pop sound to them and they are very inventive in the style of music that they produce. Ready for the Floor is probably my favourite track on the album, it has an almost tinny electro sound and hypnotic vocals. Shake a Fist comes in at just over five minutes long and has a softer vocals to it. Not my favourite song but still pretty competent. It does have a disjointed nature to ...
