*Introduction* With the release of Usher's new album Here I Stand I have decided to review the previous album in his discography. Confessions was his fourth studio album and his most heralded to date. The album was released in 2004 and has already sold over 9 million copies worldwide with some of the best selliing singles of the decade so far. On Confessions Usher worked with a number of well known producers including the likes of Jermaine Dupri and the classic duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who along with Babyface dominated the early 90's R&B scene. Wow! Usher had to come big off the back of the smash-hit 8701 and he did just that. Confessions tells many tails and general focus on Usher's infidelity during this period when he cheated on his then TLC girlfriend. The album is very strong and the songs are all very well written and produced. The albums kicks into action with the debut single Yeah, before moving into more melodic sounds with tracks such as Confessions, and Burn. The latter part of the album is a little dissapointing and I find this with many American artists they always seem to go for 17-20 tracks and for me that is 5-8 to many and I find myself switching off and the album ...
