Conqueror - Jesu

Conqueror is the 2nd album by Welsh band Jesu, released in early 2007 - it was touted as something a little bit different. Jesu play ambient rock or sometimes what is known as drone metal, basically ambient music with powerful guitars. Not at all my type of thing as I simply don't have much time for ambient genres, preferring upbeat and lively stuff instead. The vocals are whiney, the music tedious, banging along at a pace which would even seem tortoiseworthy to the dopiest of people and just when you think the track might spruce itself up, it normally calms down.
