I have been a massive fan of John Mayer ever since i can remember, and this album certainly hasnt ruined my image of him as one of the most talented singer/songwriters of our time. This album is alot more blues based than previous titles with songs like the hendrix cover of bold as love containing some awesome guitar solos.
My favourite track on the CD has got to be Gravity purely because its such a simple song but has so much meaning behind it. It focuses on telling listeners to stay 'where the light is' i.e in happines. Its got an amazing beat to it as well courtesy of Steve Jordan who's an amazing drummer. This CD is incredible and takes pride of place on my ipod playlist. Acoustics like stop this train and just as incredibly played with heart and soul as popular hits like waiting on the world to change. Although the CD bears no comparison to seeing John Mayer live, I strongly recommend you buy this cd along with the village sessions cd, which contains acoustic versions of many of the songs featured here because his music really is amazing.
