With all that effort, the album certainly had a lot to live up to, and in true Loaf style Couldn't Have Said It Better delivers an epic title track which is always a fan favourite within the live set list. The song is a hard and drawn out rocker with tremendous backing vocals, and creates the high energy opening as we've come to expect. I remember Meat Loaf quoting in an interview that he has only ever made two perfect albums, (Bat Out of Hell) and this, and I can't fault him on that. ...more

One of my fondest memories surrounding the promotion of the album revolved around a planned in-store performance in Virgin Megastores, at Oxford Street, London. For one reason or another, it never happened and a slightly peeved Meat Loaf, never one to be beaten, hired an open top sightseeing bus and road up and down Oxford Street, playing and singing in the pouring rain - what a picture that was! With all that effort, the album certainly had a lot to live up to, and in true Loaf style Couldn't Have Said It Better delivers an epic title track which is always a fan favourite within the live set list.
