When Coyote Ugly was first released, I, like most men I'm sure, fought back an urge to watch it, dismissing it instantly as pure chick flick with music material. But, sure enough, I succumbed, watched it, and strangely enjoyed it. One of the catchy things about the film was the music. I noticed that there seemed to be quite a bit of LeAnn Rimes in the film and, sure enough, the soundtrack starts off with four songs from her. Can't Fight The Moonlight takes pride of place at the start of the film, it being the main song that Piper Perabo's character Jersey performs in the film. It is a rousing song indeed. The next couple of songs from Rimes are decent, but ... Read the complete review

COYOTE UGLY - SOUNDTRACK Whether or not you have seen, or even heard of the film Coyote Ugly, you will have no doubt heard some of the tracks from this film. This original soundtrack brings together some songs from different music genres, ranging from country to pop. There are various artists involved on the CD, although the most prominent artist is LeAnn Rimes. She starred in the movie, and so naturally would appear more than once on the album. The best way to review this album would be to give you a review of each of the tracks, and then to give you an overall impression at the end. Track 1 - Can't fight the moonlight - LeAnn ... I recently saw the film, Coyote Ugly and loved the songs used in the film. So I decided to buy the soundtrack. After a week or so I had finally got the album and was ready to play it, but then I found out that only 50% of the CD had decent songs, and the best ones were by LeAnne Rymes, the singer of Coyote Uglys theme tune, can't fight the moonlight. The others are quite good but are those type of songs which get boring after a while. The track listings are below: 1. Can't Fight the Moonlight - LeAnn Rimes This is the theme tune which as you probably know got to number 1 in the charts. A great track thats great to listen to over and over again. ... After I had seen the movie of Coyote Ugly, I knew that I had to get the soundtrack. I don’t usually feel this way about getting a soundtrack, I prefer buying the artist's album as opposed to a collection of artists, I felt differently about this one somehow. A selection of the tracks were incorporated into the film, the tracks used in the film were mostly sung by Leann Rimes who has a great voice and where the number one hit "Can't Fight The Moonlight" derived from. I bought the soundtrack soon after seeing the film and to my disappointment, it wasn't all it’s cracked up to be. Don’t get me wrong, the songs ... Read the complete review

As with previous posters, I love the film. I bought the album the day after I'd seen the film. It is a good soundtrack, however not all the songs you heard in the film are on the soundtrack. Additionally some tunes have been remixed. For example the song Violet sings on the roof of her apartment block in the film, is an excellent mix of a hip-pop beat to a more conventional tune. When you hear it on the album you get a much more watered down version where the hip-pop beat is not nearly so obvious. I like 80s and early 90s music so I enjoyed listening to Snap and the other older bands on this album. It is true to say that the album starts very well ... Read the complete review
Products similar to Coyote Ugly - Soundtrack
Three Legs Of Trouble - Stonerider
The music is extremely energetic, the members of StoneRider are all highly talented.
It could perhaps be seen that many of the tracks here sound quite similar.
Third - Portishead
Great sound
Some uncertain production at times
The Sagas Of... - Klashnekoff
Intelligent lyrics full of passion over excellent production sound like PARROWDICE to my eardrums!
Some lame skits. The beats provided for SON OF NIAH are kind of a hit and miss.
Space Jam - Soundtrack
Great OST, full of stars and great tracks, well constructed
Nothing really, although I don't particularly like I Believe I Can Fly
Red - Guillemots
some strong tracks
couple of fillers
