Advantages: Fun, Cool Music
Disadvantages: Should be better, Not all tracks are present
As with previous posters, I love the film. I bought the album the day after I'd seen the film. It is a good soundtrack, however not all the songs you heard in the film are on the soundtrack. Additionally some tunes have been remixed. For example the song Violet sings on the roof of her apartment block in the film, is an excellent mix of a hip-pop beat to a more conventional tune. When you hear it on the album you get a much more watered down version where the hip-pop beat is not nearly so obvious. I like 80s and early 90s music so I enjoyed listening to Snap and the other older bands on this album. It is true to say that the album starts very well and perhaps is less impressive as time goes on. The Blondie track, sang by Violet when she is dancing on the bar is missing. I couldn't quite believe that given that it is central to the film. In summing up, I love this album, but it could have been better.

- 15/05/02 I thought the soundtrack was the only resemption to a truly awfual film - you knew the end from about 5 minutes in.
Umm and yes what the others said about more info. |

- 15/05/02 Hey! I have to agree with the others I'm afraid.. More detail about the tracks and artists, price of CD, etc.. would have been great! Let me know if you decide to elaborate on your points and I will gladly re-rate! :-) |

- 15/05/02 You obviously know the album quite well - perhaps sticking to a track listing with comments would have been nice. I'll re-rate if you rewrite, but as it is there's not enough detail at all. Sorry. Ta. |
