Before you read this review, I apologise to any dance music fans straight off if I misrepresent the music you like, or categorise it in the wrong way, because I will be honest with you, I don't know the difference between house, hardhouse, garage and trance. It is just all dance music to me, and I often get confused where each tune sits in the individual styles. I like dance music to a point, but I would not say that I am a huge fan unless it has a more R&B edge to it, and it just has to have good vocals. We have been decorating in our house and found a box of old CD's which had not been played for quite a while, and just to try and write about something ... Read the complete review

Cream Anthems 2001 is yet another commercialised mix CD from the Liverpool superclub. The only respectable CD’s from cream are those resident ones by Seb Fontaine and Paul Oakenfold. I have the special edition with the special packaging, which was very attractive. The first CD is ok, if a little predictable and not many tunes that haven’t been on many compilation CD’s before it. The best tunes on the first CD are Goldenscan- Sunrise (Tiesto mix), Dumonde- Tomorrow (Lange remix) and Jonah- Ssst…(Listen) from those rank 1 geniuses of Holland (of Airwave fame). It’s mixed ok… nothing special as it’s mixed digitally. It ... Read the complete review

Cream have been running successfuly for many years and it has expanded out to many other events and even to Ibiza. In the last few there has been the appearance of an annual release of the best beats for the last year. It is basically just a rival to the Minstry of Sound or Gatecrasher annuals. This year (near to the beginning of 2001) was no different and out came Cream Anthems 2001. Priced at £15.99 it was quite reasonable for it's 41 tracks of pure dance and trance from the club on 2CD's. It certainly struck you when you saw it with it's purple and gold case and maybe that's why I bought it having never bought a Cream album before. ... Read the complete review

I received this as a present from my cousin (djstu13). It’s got some great songs on it like Fragma - Everytime you need me but it’s the Pulsedriver Remix and I don’t like that mix at all. There is Paul Van Dyk – We are alive which is a classic tune! There’s also the original mix of The Vision by Mario Piu’ Presents DJ Arabesque. These tracks are on the first CD and is the best CD. The second CD is defenitely not up to the standards of ‘Cream’. It’s got the likes of Fatboy Slim - Sunset (Bird of Prey) and Moloko – The Time Is Now. These are so rubbish that they don’t deserve to be on any ... Read the complete review

This is a great CD and is ideal for me because it has loads of the club tracks I like, it features: -Kenkraft 400, Zombie Nation -Paul Van Dyke, We Are Alive -CRW, Lovin' -Mauro Picotto, Komodo Plus much more. Most of the tracks on this CD are mixes by well-known DJs. It is available from most music stores at about 16 pound. You will not be disappointed by it because every track is a digital masterpiece. If a mate has it I recommend you borrow it and tape it or just not give it back. It is a double CD so you have a couple hours listening pleasure, so it is worth the money you pay. I am a great fan of dance and club music, this features as much as ... Read the complete review

easy to listen to full album without skipping tracks
It's only 45mins long, you have to put it on repeat a lot
Reek Of Putrefaction - Carcass
The ultimate grindcore experience.
Difficult to listen to.
My Passion Your Pain - Callenish Circle
Reminds you how good Dark Tranquillity used to be.
Dark Tranquillity are still doing an adequate job of that without these guys' help.
Memphis May Fire - Memphis May Fire
Some decent Post-Hardcore music with elements of rock thrown in for good measure.
Quite generic in sound, provides nothing particularly new to offer to the genre.
Graceful...yet Forbidding - Callenish Circle
Excellent guitar performance.
Otherwise standard melodic death metal fare.
Far Away From Conformity - Cadaveria
Cadaveria can sing!
Frank Booth has run out of ideas.
Death Proof - Soundtrack
Brilliant selection of otherwise relativly unknown music.
Of which I find none.
Champion - The Audition
An amazing band with spine tingiling vocals
not their best album
Blue Miasma - Krieg
Atmospheric.
Slow and dull.
