Well in my opinion this is the second best album ever behind Mechanical Animals by Marilyn Manson however there is no doubt that this is a musical masterpiece. Later Sabbath albums are often overlooked by previous recordings with Ozzy and Dio but this is the best metal will ever get!
The album contains some of the best and fastest guitar solos you will ever hear from Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler is back with his pounding bass and Bobby Rondinelli, while not up to Bill Ward's standard is still exceptional. As for vocalist Tony Martin, well through this cd he shows you why he must have the best voice in rock history.
Cross Purposes has everything from a metal album from fast paced tracks to slow ballads. This albums only fault is that Virtual Death is a bit too long and doesn't kick in. But I guarantee that you'll instantly forget that when you listen to it.
This album is very hard to buy since it has been deleted from the recording companies catalogue but if you are one of the privalleged few who can find it you will NEVER get stop listening to it.
