Advantages: his best songs
Disadvantages: none
Curtain call was released in 2005 and was Eminems fifth album. It was basically a greatest hits album for him however calling it curtain call he was kind of saying that he probably wouldn't make another album again. It did look like this as well as he didn't release anything for a long time but his new album is now coming out very soon.
1.Intro (Curtain Call)
2.FACK
3.The Way I Am
4.My Name Is
5.Stan
6.Lose Yourself
7.Shake That
8.Sing For The Moment
9.Without Me
10.Like Toy Soldiers
11.The Real Slim Shady
12.Mockingbird
13.Guilty Conscience
14.Cleanin' Out My Closet
15.Just Lose It
16.When I'm Gone
17.Stan (Live w/ Elton John)
The album starts off with the intro, not sure what this is about, it sounds like its recorded at a show and its only about 30 seconds long.
So its not until the second song that the album really kicks off, FACK is an alright song though its not one of my favourites from eminem, however it does have some really good rapping in it, but perhaps a bit silly lyrics and quite rude.
The way I am is one of my favourites off the whole album, I think its got a great tune behind it as well as some great rapping and a great chorus too.
Stan is also another great song, and was one of the first songs I ever heard from eminem. The album actually have two versions of the song, one which features dido singing and the other which was recorded from his live performance with eminem at a award show. I think I prefer the dido version myself however they are both really good.
Track number twelve is another good one, mocking bird is a song that is about eminems relationship with his daughter and he doesn't hold back, which I think is what makes his lyrics, and his songs so good.
Cleaning out my closet is also another of my favourite songs off the album, its about eminems relationship with his mum, and his whole family too. He certainly doesn't hold back in these lyrics and it makes good listening.
If you're a fan of eminem then this is a good album, its got all of his best songs on one CD, however if you're an eminem fanatic then you will probably have all of his other Cds any way and then this would probably be useless so its more of an album for people who quite like eminem and want to listen to some of his songs again.
Summary: a great rap album

- 10/05/09 Nicely done. The curtain should've stayed closed though but no we have to endure more of his 'music'. |
