S Club's 'Reach' is a short burst of fun, though the content is pseduo sickly and all that tripe about reaching for your dreams is aimed at the clueless teenagers across the UK who think they have a chance of becoming the next Pop Factor, or whatever it's called. R. Kelly's 'Happy People' sticks out like a sore thumb. I would rarely stick him on a party, let alone this plodding, gospel tinged non hit. Thank goodness creepy ginger Damien is at hand with his ghoul...more

Premium Review Dance Party: Macarena? R. Kelly? The Time Warp? Ooh Yes! (352 words)

Rating:

Ah a dance party! I do like a dance and everyone loves a party, but will we like what this CD has to offer. There are 22 tracks and a selection of bonus videos so that you can learn the dance moves and also watch the videos. I can think of nothing more fun. DJ Casper is somewhat of a one hit wonder and his memorable 'Cha Cha Slide' makes my eyes water as he barks at you to move back and forth for four minutes. Painful. Much better is the slinky 'U Turn' by Usher, as he turns in a sexual performance and the usual pulsating r and b beats cut through the mix with ease. Ven - Eluveitie
Interesting dominance of folk instruments. Brief, and the metal performance is uninspired.

See You In Hell - Grim Reaper
Classic heavy metal songs with incredible love-or-hate vocals. A little short.

Keeper Of The Seven Keys: The Legacy - Helloween
Wide range of song styles, some return to the speed metal of the earlier years. Still average power metal, with no relation to the 'legacy' itself.

The Time Of The Oath - Helloween
A couple of catchy choruses and guitar riffs. Incredibly average and uninventive.

Walls Of Jericho - Helloween
Pioneering power metal. Rooted in the 1980s.

The Apostasy - Behemoth
An evolvement from Demigod sees a great concoction of choiral/brass instruments used My neighbours have stopped talking to me

Superheroes - Edguy
5 tracks that didn't go no album, change of style, Tobias Sammet None

Beyond Hell - GWAR
Competent modern thrash. No original ideas, and too much focus on the daft lyrics.

Scumdogs Of The Universe - GWAR
Creative crossover-thrash, with a few genuinely funny lyrics here and there. Still pretty stupid.

Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II - Helloween
Several power metal classics, demonstrating variety. Uneven.
