Disadvantages: The slower songs

I have been a rather passive fan of Michael Jackson for some time - his tragic death was the catalyst which finally prompted me to buy some of his music.

'Dangerous' is his 1991 album. I was a very young child when it came out - it was the first Michael Jackson album I had any living memory of. This alone makes it quite a nostalgic experience.

The best song on this album, I think, is Black or White - it's a brilliant upbeat pop song which really gets you dancing. Other standout tracks are Give In to Me, which really gets into your head, and Dangerous.

I don't really like ballads in general, and Michael's are no exception. However, I vividly remember Heal the World from my childhood and listening to it again proved a very nostalgic experience. The whole album has a very early Nineties sound, which is no bad thing!

Some of the songs are a bit soppy - Keep the Faith, for example, isn't really my thing. However, when MJ's good, he is very very good.

Not my favourite MJ album, but a worthy addition to the collection (and I got it from Play for the bargainous price of £3).

Summary: Worth a listen if you like the others
