 ... * Bad Days - This is the song a lot of people may recognise as it got to Number One in the charts over here in the UK. This is one of my favourite songs; I could listen to this over and over again. It's obviously about someone having a bad day. In the video to the song you will see a man and a woman at a tube station and she draws sad pictures on the wall but he adds bits to the pictures when she has gone to make them happy pictures. * Suspect - This song is very different to the other songs I have heard on the al...more

Premium Review Daniel Powter - Daniel Powter: Daniel Powter's Debut (272 words)
by - written on 14/01/08 (Useful, 30 readings)
Rating:

If you wanted to listen to something more recent yet none too rock or what they called ' noisy' or ' loud' , Then, Daniel Powter's album is one of the perfect match for your play list. Daniel played his song not in a very soft way too, though. I thought his song is more emotional or sort of right from his heart? His songs are meaningful and nice. Though if you listened all the songs and repeat for a couple time, you will find that Daniel Powter's songs are actually of the same style except for some. From all of the song, I will recommend you Bad Day, Love You Lately and Loop. Because it's actually these three songs that catch my attention over the radio. ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Not such a Bad Day (1200 words)

Whilst James Blunt topped the charts with "You're Beautiful", taking plaudits by the truckload and having the nation's eyes focussed on him, in the background and prevented from reaching the top spot in the singles charts by that release was Daniel Powter and "Bad Day". Like Blunt, very few people seemed to have heard of him prior to the release and it was a pop ballad that got him to the top end of the chart. My main concern before getting the album was the same one I had when Uncle Kracker's "Follow Me" was a big hit a few years ago. He had a major hit with a pop ballad which was not at all indicative of his usual style, with ...  Read the complete review

*** ABOUT DANIEL POWTER*** I first heard of Daniel Powter when I heard his single 'Bad Day', which was a number 1 hit. Daniel was born on Feb 25th 1971 and is a Canadian artist. Daniel is well known for playing the piano as many people and many of his fans may have noticed when performing live. Daniel decided to take up playing the piano when bullies destroyed his violin. Daniel has released many songs into the charts and across the world but none has been as successful as Bad Day. Daniel plays and sings piano pop and indie pop. Daniel Powter has released 3 albums in total including: I'm Your Betty - Released in 2000 Daniel Powter - Released in ...  Read the complete review

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Daniel Powter – Daniel Powter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Born in 1971, Daniel grew up in a place called Okanagan in British Colombia, He had always known he would do something with music…never being into sports like his friends. He learnt to play violin instead, which gave kids an excuse to tease him, which along with being dyslexic didn’t make school life easy or a very happy time for him! 2 things happened to make him want to break free from it all, firstly his violin teacher pointed out to him that he was reading his music sheets upside down (not taking into account his dyslexia) secondly getting ...  Read the complete review
