Advantages: Fun sing a long lyrics, good vocals and overall sound

Disadvantages: Few weaker tracks towards the end

Whether it's The Misfits, Samhain or Danzig, I'm a big fan of Glenn Danzig's work, obsessed with weight lifting and a bit of nutter on stage, he also writes lyrics that mirrors his (possibly) tongue-in-cheek evil outlook! With a crooning voice quite similar to Jim Morrison's and a metal sound slightly comparable to early doom metal, yet retaining some classic rock sounds and a little bit of punk left over from The Misfits days. What ever you think about Glenn's lyrics, I think he's written some catchy corkers!

Twist of Cain, Mother, Am I Demon, She Rides and Not of This World are 5 legendary metal tracks and all on the same album! These are some of the easiest sing a long tracks across the whole genre and whilst the album does fade in quality a little bit after She Rides, it's only very slightly and the band would be hard pushed to keep up putting out songs at the rate of the first 6 tracks. I love the riffs on this album, there are lots of catchy and expected ones that you can find in lots of metal but every so often it seems they pull out something really special that surprises you. The drumming is excellent and ranges from a heavy banging a gong like sound to short and fast drumming. Released in 1988 and just 40 minutes long, mark my words when I say that this is a true classic!
