Day and Age is The Killers fourth album, and in my opinion, ranks a very respectable second place to their electric debut, Hot Fuss. The general feel of the album is more spacey than their other albums. By this, I mean that the airy background noises, echoes, and soft crashing cymbals that are reiterated throughout the music, along with the mosaic desert/night sky cover and single title Spaceman create a thematic reference to mystery and the universe. Track listing 1. "Losing Touch" 6/10 The opening track begins with resounding wind chime like bells, a great crescendo and a quite funky brass section. Lots of ... Read the complete review

DAY AND AGE is the title of American indie rock group THE KILLER's album. The album features 11 tracks from Brandon Flower's band. The opening song LOSING TOUCH showcases the band's talents with strong vocals, excellent instrumental work and a great chorus. HUMAN features some nice melodies with wonderful guitar work which gives energy to the music. I found the lyrics confusing though you can sing along with the chorus. SPACEMAN contains beautiful vocals aided superbly by the instrumental work which brings the chorus to life. JOY RIDE is a fast paced song that makes you feel like your going on a joy ride. This song has ... Read the complete review

The Killers are a band who I haven't fully made my mind up about; I enjoyed their first studio album - 2004's 'Hot Fuss', which featured a selection of well crafted and technically competent tracks, yet their subsequent offerings 'Sam's Town', and 'Sawdust' (which contained mostly B-sides) left much to be desired. Then there's the band themselves - four guys who seem to take themselves way too seriously and come across as very arrogant when i've seen them being interviewed. So actually, I wasn't too bothered about the Killer's latest release 'Day and Age' - but how does it sound?. 'Losing Touch' is a suitable opening featuring strong vocals and Eurythmics ... No Sax Please We're British ================== I've been a Killers fan for a number of years now, hell I've even been to their home town of Vegas so I was excited when they released their third proper studio album (not including the third album "Sawdust" there). The single Human came out before the album was released and I thought it was ok but really not upto the usual standard, too electro pop but I thought that about Bones and now I really like it, maybe better was to come on the album? Unfortunately not. I'm sorry to report that I am truly disappointed with Day & Age. Sam's Town took a few plays for me to get into ... Read the complete review

The Killers - Day and age ********************************* This is a review of the 2008 rock album from the Killers, which was recently brought for us as a gift. This is their third album. Day and Age, the album ******************* As mentioned before this is their 3rd album. It contains some great tracks, there are 10 tracks on the album and a bonus track. Both myself and my partner love the song Human and it seems to constantly be playing on the ... Read the complete review
