What can I say? It's Meatloaf and about 5 seconds into the first song when you hear the motorbike engine revving...u know it's real meaty! It's the same Meat Loaf that I'm sure most people know and love - a good selection of Rocky Guitar Songs and Slow, weepy ballads. The mix of songs is ideal and I think that most people who have a love of Meatloaf are going to LOVE this album. There aren't as many "famous" songs on this album, and it's possibly one of the lesser known CD's, but I feel it's still as good as any of his famous songs.
I'm a big Meat Loaf fan and think that is part of the reason I love this CD so much, I think it may not even appeal to lesser fans...but true fanatics will love the sound.

1) Peel Out - The revving motorbikes and rocking guitars give it all away. This is a typical meatloaf track, energetic singing. It contains all those Meat Loaf trademarks (including repeating the title about 20 times). One of those songs Meat Loaf fans are bound to love.

2)I'm Gonna Love Her For Both Of Us - this song comes somewhere between rocking guitars and a ballad. It's quite a gentle song, but also the drums and vocals keep a good quick pace throughout.

3) More Than You Deserve - A beautiful ballad, in which Meat Loaf uses his powerful vocals to really move the listener. I wouldn't particularly rate the song, but as ever the lyrics and wonderful vocals make you want to listen.

4) I'll Kill You If You Don't Come Back - Harsh title, sounds a lot rockier than the music itself. The guitars try to present a very rocky song, but it just sounds like a typical Meat Loaf soft rock track.

5) Read 'Em and Weep - Another powerful ballad. I love this track, the lyrics are poetic and powerfully written, and presented perfectly with Meat Loaf's vocals! One of the best tracks on the album.

6) Nocturnal Pleasure - One of those trademark Meatloaf t
racks in which he talks for about 30 seconds. I think it's meant to sound dark and scary, but listen...it's sometimes very amusing!

7) Deadringer For Love - A Duet with Cher, and boy is it a good one. A fantastic upbeat track, which makes you want to dance AND singalong (I always get in a tangle). It's made even better by the two fantastic voices (very powerful) and the fast lyrics which you can't keep up with!

8) Everything is Pertmitted - Everything goes much more low key for the final track. Another gentle ballad, with wonderful lyrics and powerful vocals...you can't really knock it but it's not as good as "Read 'em and weep"

The level of detail on my Theme Hospital op might have been too high for your liking but it did get a crown which is an indication that Dooyoo want that level of detail. I'm sure there are some rating guidelines somewhere on the site that may help you.

A little background information would have been good. Stuff like, when this was first released, where it sits in the collection of albums that kind a thing.

Good op though

S :o)
