A great fantasy adventure score with a lots of rich lyricism.
A bad reputation for being saccharine.

Pleasant poppy sound, suitably gloomy lyrics
Can be a bit gentle for my tastes

The album is a perfect presentation of metalcore music.
If you don't like screaming vocals you certainly won't like this.

Experimental and consistent.
Over-reaches at times, particularly with the twenty-six minute semi-title track.
