Advantages: this selection stands out
Disadvantages: it will most probably soon be forgotten, art
I used to like Bush, for the longest time I've owned Sixteen stone their debut but after borrowing Deconstructed from someone and forced to compare the two albums based on that this person wants to trade, I've come to the conclusion that I don't like Bush anymore. Well.."normal" Bush that is. It's strange how much your tastes change. Many bands could learn from this album- what I want them to learn- I really don't know?- it's not that this strictly remix collection is confusing, rather it's so fresh and unexpected it leaves me in a certain wonder.. I mean I try to Imagine other bands with the Techno/remix influence- ignore N.I.N. for a moment and think of what Nirvana could've done with this kind of option in their music! (like Korn did with "make me bad" from issues, it would be really cool to hear a lot more of their songs like that!.. "blind"comes to mind as a candidate) Your current correspondence(I've always wanted to say that) would just like to ask you to give a chance to Bush:Deconstructed it is a very complicated and emerging piece of work. Quick rundown.. all songs are good, I personally enjoy both "everything zen"'s and "mouth" which the original version of can be found on the soundtrack of An American werewolf in Paris. my favorite track= "insect kin(Jack Dangers/drum and bees mix)" the art, I find dull and as plain nonsense. the lyrics I liked (as of I've always liked Gavin Rosdale's words) but the vocals were "get this" too clear- I found them distracting and I really didn't hear much feeling to them.
