The double-disc live release from Pink Floyd’s ‘A Momentary Lapse of Reason’ tour in 1988 marked the prog rock band’s first official live release since the four-song ‘Ummagumma’ twenty years previously. Since then, the band escalated to international fame, helped innovate a whole new style of music and released a string of incredible and successful albums (it’s estimated that 1 in every 14 American citizens own a copy of the band’s magnum opus, ‘Dark Side of the Moon.’) As the first live album since ‘Meddle,’ ‘Dark Side…,’ ‘Wish You Were Here,’ ‘Animals’ and ‘The Wall,’ ‘The Delicate Sound of Thunder’ has a lot to live up to. If you are wondering what all the fuss about Pink Floyd is in aid of, then you should buy this album and listen for yourself. On the other hand, if you are already a Floyd guru, but wary of live albums, then I would urge you to buy this - you won't be disappointed. This live album contains many Floyd classics - including Money (from Dark Side of the Moon), Another Brick in the Wall (from The Wall) and Comfortably Numb (from Wish you were Here). As an introduction to one of the greatest rock bands ever, this album will have you singing along and playing air guitar as Dave (Gilmour) plays like a demon - just listen to the haunting intro to Shine on ...
Products similar to Delicate Sound Of Thunder - Pi...
The Arockalypse - Lordi
Contains the Eurovision 2006 winning "Hard Rock Hallelujah"
Not as strong as "The Monster Show"
The Art Of The Koto Vol. 1 - Nanae Yoshimura
Hauntingly beautiful and curiously accessible traditional music from Japan
It might make you want to buy the next two volumes!
Ten New Messages - Rakes
A decent second album, a more mature sound
It still won't crack the main stream
Texas Flood - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Soulful playing, enjoyable and easy to listen to, plus it's SRV!
Minor thing with album sleeve, barely worth mentioning.
Tchaikovsky - Symphonies And Orchestral Works
Cheap set, on the whole good performances, consistency of sound
Performances not the best around, sound quality a little too reverberant
Ta Dah! - Scissor Sisters
Wonderful music and entertainment
The long wait to find out how good the 3rd album will be
Superman The Movie - Soundtrack
Intricate, melodic, grand, superhero music at its finest
If you don't like big superhero music then everything I suppose
Star Wars: Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi - John Williams - Soundtrack
A worthy finale to a magnificent musical journey
Some new themes not as strong, early scenes fairly dull and latter an half editorial mess
Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope - Soundtrack
A historical score on all levels; over 100 minutes of utter splendour
Sound not as full due to age; the Empire is lacking strong accompaniment
Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back - John Williams - Soundtrack
The perfect continuation of a popular score with a lot more drama thrown in
If you never bought into any aspect of the Star Wars saga, then you probably won't like it
