Some of the other songs manage to save themselves in a small way through some showy guitar melodies that are quite good on occasion, particularly in 'Give Me the Truth' and 'Don't Cry,' but the rest really is quite awful. I'd still rather listen to this than anything produced by an American glam band, but to be honest this Wels...more

Another Budgie album, long after we thought they'd all died. Not worth the wait (but what would be?)

Moving, relaxing, varied, Builds upon its predecessor while adding new elements None

Great vocals and music, even like the concept None

An extremely strong album which blends brilliantly a number of different genres of music. King Prawn is no more.

Fantastic original songs and covers Ridelly diddely - does make you giggle at first

The album is a perfect presentation of metalcore music. If you don't like screaming vocals you certainly won't like this.

Waiting For The Floods - Armoury Show
Enjoyable post-punk and proto-gothic, and other terms I'm clearly making up. Lacks individuality.

Speed Of Sound - Anvil
Entertaining classic metal with doom-style guitars. The lyrics.

Eat Me, Drink Me - Marilyn Manson
Powerful Gothic Metal, Manson At His Best None

Beyond The Dark - Ancara
Nice atmosphere and high production values. Far too short, lacking in intensity and overly ballad-based.

Army Of Anyone - Army of Anyone
Reasonable enough modern rock. Doesn't stand out.

Animal - Animosity
Competent technical death metal that doesn't show off. Lacks individuality.

Android Domena - Ars Nova
Talented old-school prog. Confused intentions.

All Together Now - Argent
Mix of styles, as long as you're fond of organ rock. Inconsistent.

A Diamond For Disease - Arsis
Title song is a brilliant long death metal piece. Other half is essentially filler.

6 6 6 - Aphrodite's Child
Innovative and highly imaginative early prog classic. Descends into a shambles at points.
