Advantages: OPENING TRACK
Disadvantages: TOO MANY CHEESY SONGS
DESTINY FULFILLED is the title of the album by the R and B girl band DESTINY'S CHILD.
The album contains 11 tracks plus a bonus one.
The opening track is also the best song on the album, LOSE MY BREATH. With the drum beat throughout the song constantly has a fast paced tempo and is a great dance number. The lyrics are okay as well.
SOLDIER features T.I and Lil Wayne whose involvement adds nothing to what is actually quite a good slower paced song.
CARTER 2 U tries too be clever with the lyrics so I thought the music suffered from this even though the background music is nice and relaxing.
T-SHIRT is another mellow song which I liked as the lyrics were really good and the vocals sounded amazing.
IF SHE IS THE REASON is a ballad that is really soothing to listen to. The lyrics were cheesy though the music is great to singalong with.
GIRL and BAD HABIT are two songs that felt like album filler. There is nothing bad about them, but they lack the emotion of other tracks.
IF is another ballad that has genuine emotion and the vocals are sung from the heart. The music oozes relaxing vibes and is good.
FREE is slightly faster paced with some good upbeat music while the vocals once more add extra soul and rhythm to the music.
THROUGH WITH LOVE and LOVE are two stereotypical R and B songs that concentrate on corny lyrics on love. Without the vocals this would be just too mushy.
The bonus track is GAME OVER which is a good fast paced track that has good energy and one you can dance to.
Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams can all sing and have beautiful vocals. There faster paced tracks are great o dance to as well. However, there are far too many cheesy ballads that fill this album and I would have liked to have heard more dance tracks.
Avaliable from AMAZON at £4.98 this is an album that nearly delivers.
