... but not quite as interesting as what’s come before, although there is still some musical progression towards the end with changes in rhythm and vocals. “You ‘keep it clean,’ you do okay You play the smile you keep the day You ‘keep it clean,’ you do alright You tow the line, there’s no fight” 4. FORGET THE FACTS (086bpm) Noticeable slower than most of the tracks, this is nevertheless interesting and fun when the great vocals of the chorus and bridge sections surface. Pitchshifter were probably the most successful Nottingham-based electro-industrial-punk-rock-metal anarchists of the past decade and their album Deviant released in 2000 was their most successful offering. The band began as very heavy industrialists with clear political and social messages to express and throughout the nineties their music evolved to a more accessible electronic style, culminating in their album ‘www.pitchshifter.com’ from 1998 in which the guttural vocals were gone and the grinding guitars replaced with short riffs and electronic drum beats. ‘Deviant’ refines the sound even further into a modern punk rock style complimented with more ...

Let’s start with the obvious, Deviant is another Pitchshifer album, and like other Pitchshifter albums the band have changed their sound again. Where as previous albums have seen them go from grindcore to industrial metal to “punk and bass’. Deviant sees them go in another new direction mainstream alternative rock. Pitchershifter's previous album www.pitchshifter.com was a stunning musical milestone. However Deviant just leaves me stunned. It’s not that Deviant is a terrible album, far from it. It still offers so much more than the bulk of alternative rock bands, it’s just the that I know Pitchshifter are capable of producing ...

Pitchschifter never really convinced me about buying there ablum but i decided to anyway. What I found was a weird mixture of rock punk and metal. They are not that gooder band but some of the tracks really do shine and there are some tracks you will love and others you will hate. It is a reasonable album and it should not be put down as much as it is. Just as good as Maralyn Manson or anyone like that. It only lacks a few things in it but to be honest it is really not that good. Try and avoid it unless you bought the previous album and liked it. Everyone i would reccomend to you that you all download some of there mp3 music. If you liked there much weirder first album ...

It's a unique sound, it rocks none

range of music, different

Unsurpassable power and intensity. A couple of less than perfect tracks.

Perfect if you want something loud on, Sounds rather 'Black Sabbath' in places . Not everybody's type of music

No frills, but plenty of thrills. Formulaic -- but it's a hell of a formula.

lots of energy, good production, big hits too commercialnot enough metal
