This was actually the second Kid Rock album that I ever bought despite it being released before History of Rock. History This was actually Kid Rock's break through album and was released back in 1998 by Atlantic Records. The album has been voted the 68th best album of all time according to the rock and roll hall of fame and also NARM (National Association of Recording Merchandisers who credited the album platinum 11 times. This was the album that put Kid Rock on the map with many people before hand criticising his work and putting him down. With the release of this album it was kid Rock saying "Don't try to judge me because you ...

Kid Rock shows a unique style of music that varies from song to song, but is emphasized heavily on the rap and metal genre. Bawtidaba, the first track, is more Rock based with rap over the top while Devil Without A Cause featuring Joe - C is rap accompanied with a more funk base line. The album is good, but I feel that the varying styles that Kid Rock tries throughout his songs, let this one down. I feel that Rap and Rock mix but an album of Rap and every other music genre, makes it difficult to like every track. His new Album is by far better, with songs that show less immaturity than on Devil Without a Cause. In this album, Kid Rocks signs of hate and love is clearly ...

The Americans are a lucky lot, they get to invade other countries (and then make a film about it claiming all glory), they get a squillion TV channels and of course they get bands like Kid Rock. Now for you un-initiated people, Kid Rock fuses rap with heavy metal.....sort of. The music is full of swearing, lots of shouting and a bit of rap thrown in for good luck. Millions of pubescent boys around the world are going to LOVE this album. Now fusing rap and rock is a dangerous thing cause your never going to make those hairy, yeti, smelly rockers happy nor those gun totting, baggy trouser rapper boys. If you like any sort of rap or rock then ...

Raising Fear - Armored Saint
Perfection of the band's style, with great guitars and vocals and some timeless classics.
Songs tend towards over-repetition, and end of the album is less noticeable.
Pristine In Bondage - Amaran
Powerful, good ol' fashioned metal. With a woman.
Occasionally uninspired.
Pentecost III - Anathema
Unparalleled gloom, and a long-awaited resurrection of these vital releases.
May lead to suicidal tendencies or manic depression. Okay for pregnant women though.
Per Un Pugno Di Dollari (A Fistful Of Dollars) - Ennio Morricone - Soundtrack
A classic Morricone effort that contains all the trademarks that made him popular
Suspenseful music not as interesting and a certain stylishness still finding its place
Overture Of The Wicked - Iced Earth
Focus song 'Ten Thousand Strong' is a solid and memorable speed metal anthem.
Unleashes a golden shower all over Iced Earth's golden era.
Of Stone Wind And Pillor - Agalloch
An interesting and highly atmospheric selection of songs displaying different sides of Agalloch.
With only five songs, the weaker ones are more of a problem.
On A Clear Night - Missy Higgins
Some good music
The middle is deleteable
If The Ocean Gets Rough - Willy Mason
deep, great voice, good lyrics
I like his first album better
Ravishing Beauty - Avec Tristesse
Mix of gothic metal and symphonic black metal that sounds distinctive.
Overly repetitive, too short and lacking coherence.
