While trying to motivate myself during my German A Level, I came across this wonderful band Wir sind Helden (or We are Heroes to us fair-weather German speakers). They are the perhaps most inventive band to come out of Germany in the new millennium, with their combination of witty, controversial and somewhat ambiguous lyrics. Even if you can't understand their mainly German lyrics, you can still attempt to sing along and appreciate the 80's punk and other references.
