Dig out your soul is the last album which was released by Oasis before they splint and went there separate ways in 2009. This oasis albums once again split critics, some who said they were past it and should give up and others who said they were getting back on form and there would be better to come. So let me give you my two cents worth for Liam and Noels 7th studio album.

Once again Noel has contributed the majority of the tracks to the album with Liam writing 3 and Andy Bell even chipping in an effort. I have found this album to be a real mixed bag, some of the efforts are fast paced, full of energy and you may think you are back in the old Oasis days and some of the track seem sort of lack luster and a little limp and boring. Tracks that really stand out for me are waiting for the rapture, Bag it up, falling down, the shock of the lightening and Im outta time. While some of the poorer offers include get off your high hourse lady and soldier on.

It might sound strange that i think the best song on the album is one which was written by liam and not Noel. 'Im outta time' Is simply beautiful the lyrics and the vocals are hauntingly beautiful and a reason to buy the album in its self.

I do not think this is a bad album, it is just not a classic that you will want to listen to over and over. All of the songs individually are great, well most of them, but they do not all work together. A good effort by the boys but still more work to be done
