As I guessed it would be, Dirty Diamonds is very disappointing and it fails to even live up to the dark conceptual works of Dragontown and Brutal Planet. The first few tracks are rather uninspired until we reach the title track, Dirty Diamonds which starts of with some sort of Arabian flute solo which is an interesting idea. Soon after we get the slower ballad style track, Pretty Ballerina which is a nice break in pace, and not long after another highlight comes in the form of the catchy Sunset Babies with some classic dark humour (even if it's rather campy I suppose). On 4 July 2005, the new Alice Cooper album "Dirty Diamonds" was released in the United Kingdom. This is his 27th official album release during his long career than spanned four decades so far. Produced by Steve Lindsey and Rick Boston, the album was recorded and mixed in Los Angeles during February and March of this year. Alice's career and music style has been versatile, to say the least.
