Advantages: The album is full of excellent commercial rock tracks.

Disadvantages: Not the most intelligent sound in the world.

When I first heard about Seether and learned that they had associations with Amy Lee of Evanescence fame; immediately I wrote them off as just another corporate rock band with not much talent whatsoever. After listening to this album however I soon realised that my presumption had not been correct and Seether is in fact a talented, innovative rock band. Although they are not the best band to have ever graced the earth I can definitely see that the band does have a talent for producing the music that they do and can understand why a major label would happily snap them up. Seether have a fair few radio friendly tunes but are by no means cheesy and manage to maintain their rock credibility throughout the duration of this 'Disclaimer II' album.

There are 16 tracks on display here and every single one of them is exciting in its own individual way. Seether is a fine example of what major label rock bands should sound like; the music is energetic and upbeat and not once does the band disappoint on this album. Even final track 'Broken' which is a duo with Amy Lee sounds surprisingly good and I'm normally not at all a fan of the Evanescence front woman. Her vocals work really well jointly with those of Seether singer Shaun Morgan and really do make way for an awesomely produced, melodic masterpiece. I never thought I would enjoy a track involving Amy Lee, after hearing this track however I began to see her in a whole new light and understand that she does have vocal talent after all and is in fact a really rather good singer. Seether sound amazing on this album with their distorted guitars, strong drum beats, superb bass lines, and impeccable vocal style; every element of the music comes together impeccably well and never is there a dull moment here.

One of my favourite tracks from this album has to be 'Sold Me'; with its distorted guitars and supremely well crafted melody always it goes down well with me. It's a cracking track, definitely one of the highlights of the album for me along with opening track 'Gasoline'. Both of these possess such power and excitement, the music is energetic and raw and I for one can't get enough of these two terrific tracks.

Since recording this album Seether singer Shaun Morgan and Amy Lee of Evanescence have ended their relationship so no further collaborations can be expected between the two. Seether is still signed to the same record label of Wind-up Records however and since 'Disclaimer II' has recorded two further studio albums and an acoustic album also. 'Disclaimer II' is most definitely an album that I would recommend to fans of the commercial end of rock/metal, it's not the most intelligent album in the world but an interesting sound is most certainly here produced. Sixteen tracks are present on this album and not a single one disappoints, Seether prove themselves to be sensational with this release and 'Disclaimer II' is most definitely an album that is worthy of a place in your personal music collection.
