For anybody aware of their fantastic debut album 'Glee', its very apparent that this is a band that are hard to pin down. Throughout the course of this 17 track album, Bran Van 3000 flip between various different styles, sometimes during the course of the same song. Opening up with the Curtis Mayfield sampling 'Astounded', they hit the ground running, fusing commercial dance with funk, and rounding the whole thing off with some samba rhythms to finish. Occasionally the ideas don't work as well as they should.
