The style is still dominated by slow, plodding drums, and while this keeps things nice and accessible, it does hinder the effect of the more sorrowful songs like 'All We Had.' The last two songs hint towards more experimental tendencies to come, with a clean singing melodic introduction to 'Lies That Bind' followed up with the great instrumental 'Dismantling Devotion,' which doesn...more

One of the greatest metal albums of all time, lots of classics, a cohesive album, good lyrics, music and production A bit hard to swallow at first for some people, some of the guitar solos sound cheesey - but were probably still cool then, and are still exciting

Some good old tunes... Some naff dated ones...

Heavy Metal - 1995

Tribute to classic metal, with appropriate modern power metal influence. Incredibly catchy. Cheesy.

A last chance for 1980s Dio. Less impressive than earlier albums.

Death Metal - 1996

A seminal score for a film whose very resolution is hinged on music Not as enjoyable as Williams' other major scores for more romantically tinged films

A mix of haunting songs on a great soundtrack, good classical music too. Not many: availability and change of pricing.

a good blend of the early goth and later rock sounds there have been better albums

A decent uptempo band, good lyrics and pretty catchy music Won't appeal to anyone who isn't keen on the current Indie Rock scene

Some pleasing and different death metal, great guitars Occasionally rips off its influences

A great mix of music None really
