If you are a madness fan, then this album is a must. 24 tracks from The Prince and One Step Beyond, right up to modern day Lovestruck and Johnny The Horse. Madness were arguably one of the best bands of the eighties, and certainly had the most original sound. Remember the days when everyone had the hair the hats and the rings? Remember being too young to understand what House Of Fun was really about? Aah, happy days when seemed madness were taking over the world. It's great to have them back. Every Madness track is a timeless classic. There never has been, and probably never will be, anyone quite like the nutty boys. ... Read the complete review

Remember the days of two tone? How about SKA? hmm? Still not with me? Ok how about singing Baggy trousers at a school disco? Or how many times have you muttered " I like driving in my car" while driving in your car? Madness were a phenomenon for a vast part of the 1980's. Young guys were doing that stiff head and neck dance at every opportunity and even more were getting crew cuts and wearing cheap black sunglasses.....or was that just at my school? Suggs and his 6 mates took the best of the classic reggae and two tone material and put their own pop twist on it. The result was happy music, by a happy band and riotous videos with men on wires ... Divine Madness is a compilation of all the greatest songs that the Band Madness released in the early to mid 80s. Being a Madness fan, as soon as I saw this in the shops I had to buy it, and I would recomend that all Madness fans who haven't got this already to buy it the next chance that they get. It is superb. The album includes the following songs: The Prince, One Step Beyond, My Girl, Night Boat To Cairo, Baggy Trousers, Embarrassment, The Return Of The Los Palmas, Grey Day, Shut Up, It Must be Love, Cardiac Arrest, House of Fun, Driving In My Car, Our House, Tomorrow's Just Another Day, Wings Of A Dove, The Sun And The Rain, Michael Caine, One Better Day, ... This sums up the well known Madness hits very well. It does have alot of good songs missing from it, but then if you want a more exhaustive collection, then The Business or The Lot would be the things to buy! (Both of which are very good also) But, this has digitally enhanced and it really does sound a bit more crystal clear than the CD versions of the older albums with the original versions of these songs. It's a must for those people that want Madness but not all of the old albums. Superb with no exception! ... Read the complete review
