Advantages: Class tracks!

Disadvantages: Some of Rob's worse moments

I feel quite hypocritical writing only about 'Dizzy up the Girl' but at the moment, its the only Goo Goo Doll album that I own due to lack of funds. i bought it a year ago and I absolutely love it.

I can't believe that hardly anyone in this country had ever heard of them, but when you say "You know, that Iris song from 'City of Angels'" They seem too catch on! I didn't buy this album on the strength of Iris, I bought it after buying the 'Slide' single (which still rates as one of my favourite songs ever) and I wasn't disappointed. Every track has an appeal, starting with the rocky and inspiring 'Dizzy' then launching into 'Slide'. 'Broadway' quickly follows (the most recent single in America) Then they switch lead (and song writer) and Rob takes over from John on 'January Friend'. This happens alternately throughout the album, and refreshs you as both of them have very different styles (Rob being the more punky of the two).

The album has many high points, such as, 'Bullet Proof', 'All Eyes On Me' and the Eurpoean bonus track 'Name'. I suggest you have a listen as you may be suprised by this classic American band!

about time someone else in this country has picked up on one of the best bands in the US. I almost give up sometimes... why must the UK charts be dominated by manufactured bands like the spice girls, steps and sclub7. perhaps one day we might actually catch up with america and the rest of the world! check out boy named goo, but try not to go back any further as tthe dolls cahanged their style for boy named.... hence they became successful.
