Advantages: a good album overall

Disadvantages: a couple of dud tracks

I watched City of Angels. I admit it. And I admit that I liked it. In fact I liked it so much, that I couldn't be bothered to get up and turn the video of afterwards. Good job I didn't, cos there was a bonus 'video' of the song Iris, by the Goo Goo Dolls. I liked it. I liked it a lot. And so did most of my mates. Even my dad (strange).

Eventually decided, that instead of wearing te tape down by rewinding again and again, just to listen to the song, I would go out on a whim and by the album.

I was pleasantly suprised, as most of the stuff on the album was good, kinda a cross between soft rock and alternative. I liked all but a few songs, and whilst flicking through the cd coverslip, I realised why.

There are 2 different song and singers for the Goo Goos. One of them, the guitarist (i can't be arsed to remember his name) is quite talented and writes and sings well. The other one, the basist (dunno his name either) is a total butt cake. His gruff strained voice annoys me and I note that all his songs begin with bass and drums. Luckily, his song are in the minority, and the blonde guy's songs dominate, producing an overall good album. Not to the taste of some, I'm sure, but I liked irt and still do.

Go on risk it. At least borrow the album, it's a good listen.
