Music reviews are so difficult. I want to avoid categorising and pigeonholing, but somehow need to convey how the CD sounds. And all along, all I want to say is, "buy this CD, its stunning!" But try I must. Okay, so who and what are the Thievery Corporation? They are Eric Hilton and Rob Garza from Washington DC. Their style is often called "Lounge Music" but this is a somewhat derogatory term. What they are really about are deep and mellow sounds, with elements of hiphop, latin and asian music all thrown in.
