However, the really nice experience with this CD is the range of music reflecting the diverse settings of series 3. My personal highlight is the very human background music from the episode "Human Nature" including my favourite track on the disk, the aptly titled "Only Martha Knows." For Doctor Who fans this is a nice collection of pieces you'll recognise from the series. All the refrains...more

As a fan of Doctor Who's return and well composed soundtracks this CD was a must buy. Murray Gold's work on Doctor Who has been absolutely stellar with Series 3 being the absolute peak in my opinion. This CD is excellent to listen to a really evokes a sense of the series. Firstly, the character themes are absolutely top-notch. I was uploading my CDs onto iTunes (months after I had planned to!). My CDs are arranged in piles relating to their categories, and I picked up the 'Billie Piper/Doctor Who' pile, ready to upload the Series One and Two album. Though before I came to it, I stumbled across the Series 3 soundtrack album. I completely forgot I had received it nearly a year ago for my birthday! I could not recall most of the tracks on it as I scanned my eyes down the list on the back, so I decided to pop it on and listen to it there and then, ready to discover its magic all over again... Doctor Who is a family sci-fi show which first aired way back in the 1960s, and then returned ...  Read the complete review

Great mixture of songs, represents "The O.C" but in a totally different way to mix 1, there's a really cute picture of Seth on the cover Songs, which possibly weren't that memorable, made the cut as apposed to songs, which stuck with the viewer, such as Jeff Buckley, Rooney and Aqualung

Many catchy and well known songs, value for money Not many to be honest

Storming stuff. Sir William Walton? I don't think so.

Unique in every way Not a style of music that everyone would appreciate

Some great musical talent A couple of weaker tracks

Atmospheric and memorable, Soundtrack heavily foregrounded in the film, Varied and interestingly foregrounded compositions Somewhat repetitiveNothing new for those who own the filmDifficult to find

Eye Of The Sun - Cloven Hoof
Average melodic heavy metal. Misleading reunion, and nothing special.

Flow - Conception
More accessible to a mainstream audience, and still high quality. Abandons most of what made the band so interesting.

Folk-lore - Cruachan
Definitive folk metal, with high production values. Folk style is repetitive.

Featuring...eazy-e - Eazy E
Hip-Hop & Rap - 2008

Flat-pack Philosophy - Buzzcocks
Great fast punk pop tunes None!

Fancy Footwork - Chromeo
Energetic album, full of fun and energy. The music is incredibly repetitive, a couple of tracks are more than a little irritating.

Fragments Of The Moon - Concerto Moon
Some great instrumental performances. Heard it all before.

Fingers Crossed - Architecture in Helsinki
Melodic and pretty and childish and silly It's pretty much an acquired taste, like Flamin' Hot Monster Munch

Fragile Art Of Existence - Control Denied
Another fine legacy of Chuck Schuldiner. Doesn't stray as far from death metal as some may have hoped.
