Does Beck doo it for yoo?

The world fell in love with Beck for 'Odelay', that perfect mess of an album. But the man is a changeling from another planet: you think you've got him pinned down and then he transforms into something more innovative, groovy, funny. And that's the appeal. That's why anyone with a sense of humour and an appreciation of quality music absolutely loves the man. Sure, people criticise his sheer audacity and ironic detachment (who is the real Beck?), but there's so much to enjoy in all his albums that nitpicking is missing the point completely.
