The Pixies are proberly one of the best and most influencial bands of the 1980's. They inflenced nearly every grunge band, including Nirvana.

Doolittle is proberly there best album for newcomers to thier music. Track 1 - Debaser, is proberly one of the best tracks they ever recorded. Nirvana stoles the guiter riff for Smells Like Tenn Spirt from this.

The lead singer, Frank Black has one of the weirdest singing voices I have ever heard, but is actually sounds really good. The lyrics to their songs are very wierd, and seem to mean nothing.

The Pixies are no longer together, but they have left a very good catalougue of songs, with Dooliitle being the best studio ablum they have released.
