Embrace have this trick that makes you sit up and listen but prolonged exposure often leads to boredom. Well, gasp horror, here's an Embrace album that has enough going for it to make it solid company for three quarters of an hour. The McNamara brothers, Danny and Richard, certainly have the occasional knack for coining technicolor beauties. They showed us this with their wonderful debut, the Fireworks EP. Still tries something new... sort of.
Disappointing final release, lacking in energy and creativity.

The best elements carry over from the previous E.P.
Less extreme and disappointingly clinical.

The band finally gets it together, and perfects its distinctive sound.
Not easily accessible.

The album is a perfect presentation of metalcore music.
If you don't like screaming vocals you certainly won't like this.
