Having formed in Texas in 1994, seven studio albums have to date been released by the popular pop punk band that is Bowling For Soup. Released in 2002, 'Drunk Enough To Dance' was the fifth album to be released by the band and contains the hit singles of 'Emily' and 'Girl All The Bad Guys Want'. It's not the best album in the world, nor is it the most intelligently written and executed music you'll ever hear; it definitely provides for a good hour of fun though. Seventeen tracks are included here, the album begins with '...I Don't Wanna Rock', finishes with 'World Falling Apart' and never once does the band ever disappoint in the slightest throughout the ... I'm not really much of a fan of punk music. It's not that I can't stand it, I'll generally listen to most of it without complaint, it's just nothing's really grabbed me. It's dangerous to over-generalise of course, but I tend to find most of it rather samey and have a 'take it or leave it' attitude. Consequently, I missed out of Bowling For Soup for quite a while. I first heard of them around their Let's Do It For Johnny album, which I almost bought but didn't quite. A while later, must have been around April-May 2002 I think, I saw that they were even playing a gig in Oxford - supporting British ska-punk band [spunge] - and again I was tempted to see them, ... I was brought up loving rock/punk/grunge music - my sister would teach me Beck and Nirvana songs instead of nursery rhymes and I went to my first gig at age 13 with my family. Mostly my tastes in music run to bands from the early 90s & who are dead/disbanded by now - so when my brothers friend gave us a copy of Bowling For Soup's drunk enough to dance album, I didn't think I'd like them much - too modern, too pop,not 'serious' enough. How wrong I was! Drunk enough to dance is a fantastic contemporary album, packed with songs that are incredibly catchy, full of life, witty and most of all, fun. Bowling For Soup are a Grammy-nominated band who formed in 1994 and ... Read the complete review

I first discovered this band because of my boyfriend. i dont generally listen to rock or punk, with the exeption of queen, but who doesnt listen to then. However when i started dating a guy in a band, i had to open my mid a lot more. And this is his favorite band! i have now heard every track on this album, which i have to say is pretty good, including the hidden track at the end, which is my favorite, and apparently called "Belgium" I dont know why this is, but in true bowling for soup style, it is very very random. The songs are usually up beat and good fun to listen to, and the words to the "lovey dovey songs" are not just cheesy. They're real. ... Read the complete review

I love Bowling for Soup, they are a kind of happy childish punk rock band that are great to listen to when you need a bit of a cheer up because of their happy attitude towards music, though like all artists they have wrote some serious tracks as well. Drunk Enough to Dance was released in 2002 and has some great tracks on it that I recommend people who are in to this music genre to check out if you havent already. So heres the track listing: 1. I Dont Wanna Rock This is a song about not really clicking with a girl that you are seeing and deciding that you arent going to pretend any more, its strangly a really up beat song and ...
