Marmaduke duke are a fairly new band, and although I hadn't heard of them until the released of their second album, Duke Pandemonium I had heard of the band Biffy Clyro and this is the same lead singer of both the bands, I'm not sure then why he's started another band instead of recording the songs with his other band however marmaduke duke does seem to have a more modern sound to it, their songs are fast paced, modern instrumented pieces.

silhouettes is one of the two songs that stand out for me on this album, which is sadly an album that is just packed full of mediocre songs, this song is quite slow the way through however does have a nice beat through out and the lyrics are good.

The best song, and the single of the album though is rubber lover. it's the only song off the album that managed to receive commercial success and without it the album wouldn't have received any success at all I feel. It is a great song, the instruments are great and it's a very fast paced up beat song.

However good rubber lover may be, the rest of the songs just did not compare, the album was only 10 songs long and it feels like there was a strain to even fill the album up with that amount of songs. I definitely feel that this band wasn't ready for this album to be released yet and that's why is was a bit of a flop in my eyes.
